The Sonny's race car made an appearence on Thursday at the Chellie Rd store. Marty White, our driver, posed for pictures and even let little kids sit in the car...by little kids I mean Scott, Bryan, and me! Many of our customers were happy to have the attraction and I am looking forward to a great race season. Marty is racing with 17 other drivers in the sportsmen division and holds 7th place this season (so far). We are fortunate to have Marty as a driver because he is also a DJ and Morning Show Host for a local country music station where he spends about 1/2 the show talking about Sonny's, the Sonny's race car, or the race track. We are looking forward to hosting more events with the cars from 5 Flags Speedway and hopefully, we will see a beautiful vending contract for the track in the future :) If I can't get butts in seats, I still want teeth in my pulled pork sandwiches, no matter where I have to take them.
